Update
The mechanical work at the HPCF has concluded and we are beginning the bringup process. We will continue to provide updates here, either if we have trouble or when the system has returned to service.

Be reminded that Research Computing will perform extended planned maintenance Wednesday-Friday, 1-3 August 2018. August's activities are primarily focused on repairs (both regular and exceptional) to the High Performance Computing Facility (HPCF), particularly to the facility's cooling infrastructure. Additional minor software updates may be coscheduled as time permits.
Maintenace is scheduled to start at 06:00, and service will be restored as soon as all activities have concluded. During this period, no jobs will run on Summit, and Summit scratch will be unavailable.
Research Computing will perform extended planned maintenance Wednesday-Friday, 1-3 August 2018. August's activities are primarily focused on repairs (both regular and exceptional) to the High Performance Computing Facility (HPCF), particularly to the facility's cooling infrastructure.
Additional activities may be added to the maintenance plan closer to the date of planned maintenance; but we are announcing this event early due to the extended nature of the outage.
