Update
Slurm and BeeGFS client upgrades on Summit, Blanca, and other compute resources is complete. Work is continuing on PetaLibrary, and we're starting performance validation of Summit and Blanca.

Update
Our initial migration for the Slurm accounting database appears to have completed successfully. We are proceeding with software updates for Slurm (Summit, Blanca, and others), ZFS (PetaLibrary), and BeeGFS (PetaLibrary).
Interruptions to /pl/active/ are likely during certain steps in the update.

Research Computing will perform regularly-scheduled planned maintenance Wednesday, 5 February 2020. February's activities include
- migrating the slurm database server - upgrading slurm to 19.05, bringing fixes and new features - finalizing BeeGFS update, including clients - finalizing PetaLibrary ZFS update - performance validation
Maintenance is scheduled to take place between 07:00 and 19:00, though service will be restored as soon as all activities have concluded. During the maintenance period no jobs will run on Summit or Blanca compute resources, and access to PetaLibrary/active may be interrupted during updates.
