Scheduled
Research Computing will perform regularly-scheduled planned maintenance Wednesday, 4 September 2019. August's activities include

- HPCF cooling tower cleaning
- Applying asset tags to some Blanca nodes

Maintenance is scheduled to start at 06:00, though service will be restored as soon as all activities have concluded. During this maintenance period the HPCF cooling tower will be cleaned and as such we will be shutting down all of Summit, Summit scratch, and Blanca HPC nodes located in the HPCF. We will also be applying asset tags to some Blanca hosts, but will have those released early in the morning after being tagged. We expect that the tower cleaning will be completed by 15:00-16:00, and will start to power on hosts in the HPCF shortly afterwards if there are no delays.

During the maintenance period no jobs will run on Summit resources, Blanca HPC resources, and access to Summit storage will be interrupted. We will send out updates throughout the day as work is completed.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact rc-help@colorado.edu.
